Life With Sonny

I’d like to introduce you to Sonny, my charismatic and unflappable “English Cream” retriever. His life has been epic, and I am beyond grateful for him

Sonny came into our family’s life in 2018. Here he is on Linnea's graduation day in 2020, then after her death November 2020 he is carrying her memory at her tombstone and at Glacier National Park where Nick repeated her dive 3 years later.

Nowadays, on the island in Washington State, Sonny and I are inseparable.

When I get together with Nick (who lives in Oregon) Sonny burns up energy with Nick's puppy Maple. Sometimes he joins us for a pint.

Sonny is intrigued, if skeptical, being a first mate and supervising fishing and shrimping and such. But he rolls with the waves, so to speak.
